Neurodiagnostic Tech Level 1

Position: Neurodiagnostic Technologist Level I
Address: Edison, NJ 08818
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8 Hours/Day | 40 Hours/Week
Pay Range: $40-$42/hr.

Additional Information

  • Weekends and Holidays as Needed
  • On-Call Required
  • Patient Population: EMU, ICU, Pediatric and Adult Patients
  • Manager will be reviewing resumes

Required Experience

  • Minimum one (1) year of Neurodiagnostic experience.
  • Must have both inpatient and outpatient EEG experience.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with Natus systems.
  • Familiarity with Nihon Kohden systems.

Required Skills

  • EEG
  • Neurodiagnostic Technology
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google productivity suite.

Education

Required

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Preferred

  • Associate’s Degree in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology or equivalent.

Required Certifications & Licensure

  • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Eligible for ABRET Registration.

Job Summary

The Neurodiagnostic Technologist Level I performs standard and complex neurodiagnostic procedures for patients with moderate supervision according to established standards and practices. Provides technical assistance and training to students, completes all necessary documentation for departmental records and patient procedures, and supports all functions, goals, and objectives of the Neurodiagnostic Lab and Epilepsy Unit, including the development of new programs involving the Neurodiagnostic Lab and Epilepsy Unit.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform standard and complex neurodiagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to students.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for departmental records and patient procedures.
  • Support the functions, goals, and objectives of the Neurodiagnostic Lab and Epilepsy Unit.
  • Support the development of new programs involving the Neurodiagnostic Lab and Epilepsy Unit.
  • Perform EEG procedures for both inpatient and outpatient populations.
  • Provide care for EMU, ICU, pediatric, and adult patients.
