Job Title: Sr. Azure Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Mechanicsville, VA (Hybrid)
Duration:11 months Contract (High Possibility of extension)

Client is looking for a senior level engineer with deep expertise in Azure s ecosystem, proven enterprise grade operational experience, and the ability to provide technical leadership across teams and to management.

– Confidence in communicating technical recommendations, risks, and strategies to management and executive leadership
Core Responsibilities & Required Experience:
– Provide expert guidance on the design, implementation, configuration, and governance of Azure resources, networking, and security policies
– Implement, maintain, and monitor mission critical cloud resources in a large enterprise environment
– Manage and optimize enterprise backup and disaster recovery operations, ensuring reliability and continuity
– Plan, lead, and execute cloud migration initiatives, including moving workloads from on premises to Azure
– In-depth experience working with other areas of IT such as architecture, security, development, and governance.
– Provide operational support and troubleshooting for production applications and infrastructure
– Utilize security tools such as Tenable to manage vulnerability remediation and improve security posture
– Build meaningful observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Workbooks, Alerts, and related tooling
– Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery (DR) strategies to minimize downtime and protect critical data
– Demonstrate strong networking knowledge, including OSI model concepts, core network protocols, and network level troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):
– Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar
– Networking certifications such as Network , CCNA, or equivalent
