Job Title: Advanced Internal Service Engineer- Hematology

Duration: 18 Months (possible extensions & conversion to FTE, based on performance)
Job Description:
The Advanced Internal Service Engineer provides expert-level technical support for Client’s hematology product portfolio through advanced troubleshooting, repair, installations, and fleet management activities. This role supports domestic and international installations while maintaining internal hematology systems used for training, product evaluations, demonstrations, and service readiness.
Based in Miami, Florida, this role serves as a key technical resource supporting domestic and international installations while maintaining a fleet of hematology systems used for internal activities, training, evaluations, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
•Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex hardware, software, mechanical, electrical, and connectivity issues across the hematology portfolio.
•Maintain and support an internal fleet of hematology systems, ensuring high operational readiness for training, evaluations, and new product activities.
•Support domestic and international installations, engineering evaluations, and product deployments while partnering with cross-functional teams to drive successful implementation.
•Contribute to service readiness for new products by supporting the development and validation of service procedures, documentation, spare parts, and technical processes.
Required Qualifications
•Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Biomedical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
•Seven or more years of experience troubleshooting and repairing complex electromechanical, laboratory diagnostic, biomedical, or medical device systems.
•Demonstrated expertise in advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis across hardware, software, and network-connected systems.
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience servicing hematology analyzers or other in vitro diagnostic (IVD) systems.
•Experience developing service documentation, technical procedures, or troubleshooting guides.
•Experience supporting new product introductions or deployment of newly released instrument platforms.
Travel & Physical Requirements
•Ability to travel approximately 30–50%, including domestic and international travel.
•Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
•Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical activities required to install, maintain, and repair laboratory instrumentation.
