Job Title: RN – Pediatric Dialysis
Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73104
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts (5:00 AM – 5:30 PM), 3 days/week (36 hours/week)
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to assigned pediatric dialysis patients.
- Align practice with Client values and professional nursing standards.
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
- Administer medications, IV infusions, and blood products as prescribed.
- Assist physicians during examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
- Monitor physiological data and intervene appropriately when necessary.
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions.
- Address patient concerns and collaborate with support staff for timely resolution.
- Coordinate referrals for patient care needs.
- Delegate tasks to clinical support staff as appropriate.
- Mentor peers and participate in professional development activities.
- Maintain required certifications and licensure.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- 3–5 years of patient care experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Strong knowledge of advanced nursing theory, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to independently organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care.
- Experience with computer applications used for patient safety and quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively, resolve conflicts professionally, and advocate for patients.
- Ability to comply with accreditation and regulatory standards.
- Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate Compact RN License (eNLC).
- BLS (American Heart Association).
