Job Title: RN – Medical/Surgical
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico 87505
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Nights; Full Time; weekend requirement; on-call requirement 2–4 shifts/month; no blocked scheduling; floating to all Med/Surg departments

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Provide routine and complex care to assigned Med/Surg patients.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocols and monitor effectiveness/side effects.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Address patients’ psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers and identify appropriate resources.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers.
• Float across all applicable Med/Surg departments.
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:5–6.
• Use EPIC EMR and follow grey scrub dress code.

Requirements:

• Current New Mexico RN license or active Compact RN license.
• BLS certification through AHA required.
• 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Preferences:

• Med/Surg nursing experience.
• EPIC experience.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, on-call shifts, and float between Med/Surg departments.
