Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM CST | 40 hours/week
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist I / Patient Services Representative I to join our team in Greenville, KY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens from patients, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and providing an exceptional patient experience.
- This role requires excellent phlebotomy skills, particularly with pediatric patients, along with strong attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood draws and specimen collection accurately and safely.
- Perform Pediatric blood collections following established procedures and safety standards.
- Prepare, process, and label specimens for laboratory testing.
- Verify patient information and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Explain collection procedures to patients and create a comfortable, professional environment.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
- Follow all established company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Complete daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- Demonstrate professionalism and provide excellent customer service to patients, clients, and staff.
- Work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Support staffing needs, including occasional weekends, holidays, on-call assignments, and overtime when required.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.
- Strong Pediatric phlebotomy/collection skills required.
- Ability to perform accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Keyboarding and data-entry experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Previous customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
