Registered Nurse (RN) – Preop/PACU
Location: Hackensack, NJ, 07601
Duration: Full-time
Shift: 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM (10-hour shift), 40 hours per week, No weekends, Holidays identified by the facility are off, No on-call
Pay Range: $55/HR to $60/HR ON W2
Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient’s needs.
- Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and ongoing assessments.
- Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
- Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
- Manages care of patients.
- Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
- Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
- Provides patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills:
- 2 strong (recent) years of critical care, pre-op, and Recovery/PACU experience required.
- Strong background in Telemetry.
- Must be tele certified.
- Experience in care of the patient on a ventilator.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- 3 years PACU preferred.
Certifications & Licenses:
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications.
- NJ license.
