Title: Sales Representative
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months – possibility of conversion to FT based on performance.
Shift time: M-F 8am to 5pm EST
Job Description:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing and growing an assigned portfolio of industrial customers by developing strong customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, delivering outstanding service, and driving profitable sales. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers and partners closely with outside sales, operations, purchasing, and customer support to provide best-in-class solutions.
Each representative will manage approximately 300β350 active customer accounts representing approximately *** million in annual revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management
Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of industrial customers.
Develop long-term relationships with purchasing agents, project managers, estimators, maintenance personnel, and business owners.
Conduct proactive outreach to strengthen customer relationships and identify new opportunities.
Perform regular account reviews to identify sales growth opportunities.
Develop customer-specific sales plans for top-tier accounts.
Sales & Business Development
Generate profitable revenue growth within existing accounts.
Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across product lines.
Pursue inactive and underperforming accounts to increase customer engagement.
Convert quotations into orders through consistent follow-up.
Support new customer onboarding and account development.
Customer Service
Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and technical product information.
Prepare accurate quotations and proposals.
Coordinate order fulfillment with operations and logistics.
Resolve customer issues quickly while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Maintain excellent communication throughout the order lifecycle.
Sales Administration
Maintain accurate customer records and activity within the CRM system.
Track open quotations and follow-up opportunities.
Monitor customer purchasing trends and buying habits.
Assist with forecasting and pipeline reporting.
Support annual pricing reviews and contract renewals.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with the Sales Assistant to ensure efficient order processing and administrative support.
Partner with purchasing and operations to meet customer delivery expectations.
Collaborate with the Sales Manager on key account strategies and business development initiatives.
Share best practices and contribute to a team-oriented sales culture.

Qualifications
Required
3+ years of industrial inside sales, customer service, or account management experience.
Strong understanding of industrial products, manufacturing, or distribution.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Experience using CRM and ERP systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred
Experience in industrial coatings, fabrication, construction materials, welding, fasteners, safety products, MRO, or related industries.
Experience supporting outside sales teams.
Knowledge of industrial purchasing processes and supply chain operations.
