Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)
Job Location: Clackamas, OR
Job Duration: Contract | 13 Weeks( Possibility of Extension)
Shift: 2:00 PM–2:00 AM| Mid | 12-Hour Shifts
The Emergency Room RN provides safe and compassionate nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical and emergency conditions. The RN performs assessments, administers treatments, monitors patient status, and collaborates with physicians and the healthcare team to provide timely emergency care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and triage patients based on clinical condition and acuity.
- Provide nursing care to patients with acute and emergency conditions.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions, responding promptly to changes.
- Assist with emergency procedures and stabilization of critically ill patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment and discharge instructions.
- Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies.
Required Experience:
- Recent 1 year of Emergency Room / Emergency Department RN experience.
- Strong patient assessment, triage, and critical-thinking skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills.
Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Active Oregon RN License.
- AHA BLS Certification.
- AHA ACLS Certification.
