Title: Public Health Program Director
Location: Hybrid (Nashville, TN 37243)
Duration: 38 weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST, 37.5 hours/week; Hybrid, minimum 1 day/week in office
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement evidence-based programs/initiatives to address tobacco prevention among youth and young adults.
- Assist and support schools with the implementation of tobacco prevention and cessation initiatives.
- Work with the tobacco team to plan and implement youth engagement trainings for tobacco prevention.
- Participate in regular trainings, workshops, conferences, and meetings related to tobacco prevention and control and the division.
- Develop and maintain cooperative, collaborative, working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve program goals and objectives.
- Updates and uses relevant knowledge to support the implementation of health education interventions and programs for the community.
- Identifies the educational needs of others, supports program staff in the development of educational training programs or classes, and teaches and instructs others.
- Assists with the design and delivery of relevant training programs for health department employees, teachers, and other professionals.
- Prepare and distribute program materials to internal and external stakeholders that conduct tobacco prevention programs.
Facility Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in public health, education, or related field.
- Able to complete and prioritize tasks while working remotely.
- Candidates must be a resident of TN.
- In-person attendance for quarterly meetings and professional development opportunities.
