Job Title: Entry Phlebotomist I
Job Location:Lehigh Acres, FL
Duration: 3 months
Shift: Day – Monday thru Friday 6AM-3PM with Rotational Saturdays 6AM-12:30PM
Summary:
The Entry PSR I/Lobby Experience Coordinator (LEC) plays a vital role in patient care by greeting them upon arrival and addressing any questions or concerns with care and compassion. The individual will help maintain the integrity of the waiting area and assist with breaks when other Phlebotomists are unavailable. This role involves utilizing Phlebotomy skills to grow within the company.
Responsibilities:
Establish direct contact with patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
Explain what to expect to patients regarding the scheduled procedure in a safe and accurate manner.
Demonstrate excellence in customer care while focusing on process skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
Maintain the integrity of the lobby and ensure that all patients receive the expected level of service.
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
Maintain a safe and professional environment.
Keep required records and documentation.
Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Show willingness to learn new skills.
Required Skills:
Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check-ins in the lobby through either a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet.
Willingness to work both in the lobby and in a draw room with patients to help with breaks that need to be covered.
Confidence in performing both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
High level of customer service experience/skills is required, as it is critical to the heart of the role.
High school diploma or equivalent is required, with no exceptions.
Phlebotomy experience is required, even if just an intern/externship to learn the basics.
Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience is required (Retail, Home Health Aide, etc.).
Some Phlebotomy experience is required.
Keyboard/data entry experience is a must.
