Job Title: ENTRY Phlebotomist I

Duration: 4 + months
Shift Schedule: M-F 5am- 1:30 pm & Rotational Saturdays 6:30am- 1:00pm
Summary:

The ENTRY PSR I/Lobby Experience Coordinator (LEC) supports patient care by welcoming patients upon arrival and addressing any questions or concerns with empathy. The individual is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the waiting area and assisting with breaks when other Phlebotomists are unavailable. This role offers an opportunity to utilize and develop Phlebotomy skills within the company.

Responsibilities:

• Have direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence.

• Explain what to expect to patients regarding the scheduled procedure in a safe and accurate manner.

• Demonstrate excellence in customer care while focusing on process skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.

• Maintain the integrity of the lobby and ensure that all patients receive the expected level of service.

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

• Maintain a safe and professional environment.

• Maintain required records and documentation.

• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

• Show willingness to learn new skills.

Required Skills:

• Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check-ins in the lobby through either a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet.

• Willingness to work both in the lobby and in a draw room with patients to cover breaks.

• Confidence in performing both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.

• High level of customer service experience/skills is required.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent – REQUIRED.

• Phlebotomy experience is required, even if just an internship/externship to learn the basics.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience – REQUIRED (Retail, Home Health Aide, etc).

• Some Phlebotomy experience is REQUIRED.

• Keyboard/data entry experience is a must.
