Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM Central Time Zone
Summary:
The Entry PSR I/Lobby Experience Coordinator (LEC) is responsible for enhancing patient care by greeting patients upon arrival and addressing any questions or concerns with care and compassion. This role also involves maintaining the integrity of the waiting area and assisting with breaks when other Phlebotomists are unavailable. The individual will utilize Phlebotomy skills to grow within the company. The Entry PSR I will have direct contact with patients, fostering an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures in a safe and accurate manner. Excellence in customer care and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information are crucial. The impact of this role is vital in maintaining the integrity of the lobby and ensuring high-level service for all patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
Required Skills:
- Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check-ins in the lobby through either a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet.
- Willingness to work both in the lobby and in a draw room with patients to help cover breaks.
- Perform with confidence both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
- High level of customer service experience/skills are required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required – no exceptions.
- Phlebotomy experience is required, even if just an intern/externship to learn the basics.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service is required (Retail, Home Health Aide, etc.).
- Some Phlebotomy experience is required.
- Keyboard/data entry experience is a must.
