Job Title: RN – ED
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: 3 months Contract
Schedule: 7:00P – 7:30A ( EOW + 4th Shift Per Month) ** MUST HAVE 2 YRS MIN OF ED EXP*
Hourly rate: $67/ hour on W2 Negotiable
- Shift: Night Shift – 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 11.5 hours per shift
- Hours: 34.5 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW) + 4th shift per month
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- License: Active New York State RN License
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience (mandatory)
- EMR: EPIC experience
- Union Position: Yes – NYSNA
Required Certifications
- BLS – AHA
- ACLS – AHA
- PALS – AHA
Preferred Qualifications
- Trauma experience
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based emergency nursing care to adult and/or pediatric patients.
- Perform patient assessments, prioritize care, and implement nursing interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Administer medications and monitor patient conditions.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital standards.
- Follow patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement protocols.
- Support patient throughput, resource utilization, and emergency department operations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
