Position Summary
We are seeking a licensed Immunizing Pharmacist to support community healthcare initiatives by administering immunizations and delivering exceptional patient care. In this role, you will play a key part in helping patients stay healthy through vaccination programs while providing compassionate, patient-centered service. This position requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer a variety of immunizations, including but not limited to:
- Influenza (Flu)
- COVID-19
- Shingles (Shingrix)
- Pneumococcal
- RSV
- Tdap/Td
- Hepatitis A & B
- MMR
- Varicella
- HPV (as applicable)
- Educate patients regarding vaccine benefits, risks, and post-vaccination care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all immunizations in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism while delivering patient care.
- Adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow.
- Promote patient care programs and healthy outcomes.
- Follow all company, state, and federal pharmacy regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Pharmacist License in the state of employment.
- Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA).
- Not listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- No pending felony charges or convictions involving controlled substances.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-focused care.
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharm) or
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
