Job Summary
CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) unit. The RN will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Medical/Surgical unit using the nursing process.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient responses.
- Document patient assessments, medications, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
- Monitor patient conditions and promptly report significant changes.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to support staff while ensuring quality patient care.
- Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical RN experience preferred.
- Active Louisiana RN License or Compact (eNLC) RN License.
- Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced Medical/Surgical environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Previous experience in a Medical/Surgical specialty.
