Title: Referral Representative I – 3rd shift
Location: Lenexa, KS 66219
Shift: Tuesday to Saturday, 2:30 AM to 11:00 AM
Duration: 3+ Months/ Temp to hire
Specimen Processing & Referral Testing

• Retrieve, sort, and process specimens for shipment to referral laboratories.
• Verify specimen quality and accuracy by identifying issues such as:
  • Incorrect specimen type
  • Missing patient or test information
  • Improper temperature
  • Quantity not sufficient (QNS)
  • Other specimen integrity concerns

• Prepare specimens and packages for shipment in compliance with IATA regulations.
• Research test availability and determine the appropriate referral laboratory using established protocols.
• Report laboratory results according to established procedures.
• Communicate all Tests Not Performed (TNPs) and laboratory accidents to clients within 24 hours of notification.
• Thoroughly document all communications and escalate concerns to supervisors when appropriate.

Required Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years of clinical laboratory experience.

Preferred Experience

• Customer service experience.
• Medical or healthcare background.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
