Shift: 12-Hour Rotating Shifts
(2 Day Shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM & 2 Night Shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Pay: Up to $2,700 Gross Weekly
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Bakersfield, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency nursing experience and excel in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for emergency patients.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and identify physiological and psychosocial needs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
- Rapidly recognize changes in patient conditions and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
- Develop and update patient care plans based on clinical assessments and evidence-based practice.
- Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, medication safety, and regulatory standards.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Participate in unit meetings, mandatory education, and professional development activities.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Current BLS (AHA)
- Current ACLS (AHA)
- Current PALS (AHA)
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and emergency response skills
- Ability to work rotating day and night 12-hour shifts
