Patient Services Representative II (Phlebotomist)
Location: Miramar, FL
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM; Every Saturday, 6:00 AM–12:00 PM
Schedule: Must be flexible to work between 6:00 AM–4:00 PM based on daily site coverage.
Duration: 3 months, with possible extension
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) performs blood collections, specimen processing, and patient registration while delivering excellent customer service. This role requires accurate specimen handling, compliance with safety and confidentiality standards, and the flexibility to travel between multiple patient service locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary collections for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Verify patient identity and accurately label specimens.
- Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established procedures.
- Provide professional, compassionate patient care and excellent customer service.
- Travel between multiple locations as needed and arrive on time for scheduled assignments.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Strong customer service and data entry/keyboard skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record.
- Flexibility to work weekends, overtime, and at multiple locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training.
- Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, and WA).
- Experience in a Patient Service Center.
- Retail or healthcare customer service experience.
