Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to review and clear pre-employment medical examinations in accordance with established occupational health protocols. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Active Florida LPN License in good standing (RNs may be considered at a different pay rate)
- 1β3 years of recent clinical nursing experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience reviewing medical documentation and applying standardized clinical protocols
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and computer systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Occupational Health or Employee Health
- Experience reviewing work-related or pre-employment medical examinations
- Maritime industry experience is a plus
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
Key Responsibilities
- Review pre-employment medical examinations for completeness, accuracy, and protocol compliance.
- Evaluate and medically clear candidates based on established occupational health guidelines.
- Identify missing or incomplete documentation and coordinate follow-up as needed.
- Maintain accurate, confidential medical records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage a high volume of cases while meeting turnaround time expectations.
- Collaborate with providers, internal departments, and support staff to ensure timely medical clearances.
- Ensure compliance with organizational, state, and federal occupational health regulations.
- Utilize electronic medical record systems and technology to support efficient workflow.
