Job Description:
- The IMS Technician will be responsible for assisting the Senior IMS Analyst with day-to-day activities supporting the Newton Cable Plant.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Interact with customer to gather and define system/solution requirements
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of IMS devices, printers, scan guns, servers, etc.
- Review and update document repository in SharePoint for AI enablement
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems that may have a significant impact on the business
- Support IMS projects
Required Education and Experience:
- 2 year degree in computer science or related field
- 2+ years of experience in an IT support role, including experience supporting hardware and software components
Required Skills:
- Understanding of server and network infrastructure
- Microsoft 365 including SharePoint and OneNote
- Cybersecurity mindset
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and management
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
