Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations under physician direction. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide excellent patient care while producing high-quality diagnostic images.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established department protocols.
- Verify patient identification, exam orders, and relevant clinical information before procedures.
- Prepare and position patients appropriately while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Perform vascular and general ultrasound procedures as required.
- Evaluate images for quality, clarity, completeness, and diagnostic value.
- Operate ultrasound equipment and related imaging information systems effectively.
- Maintain competency in assigned ultrasound modalities and applicable clinical procedures.
- Provide patients with clear explanations regarding examinations and address questions or concerns.
- Follow infection control and sterile technique requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, procedures, and any adverse events.
- Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, quality control, and equipment issues.
- Maintain clean and organized examination rooms and equipment.
Requirements
- 1+ year of ultrasound experience.
- Active ARDMS registration and modality-specific competency.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and ultrasound imaging techniques.
