Shift: 1st shift 5:30 am – 2pm & 2nd shift 10am – 6:30pm
Summary:
The Pharmacy Engineering Technician 3 is responsible for overseeing logistics, fabrication, installation, operation, application, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, motors, and systems. This role involves performing advanced administrative, operational, and customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. The position may also require the application of intermediate mathematical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure maintenance and continuous improvement of quality and industry standards.
- Evaluate mechanical products to determine cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Oversee and implement prescription drug distribution equipment and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions, reduce cost-to-fill, increase throughput, and improve quality.
- Perform tests of related software and equipment to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
- Devise improvements to current procedures and develop models of possible future configurations.
- Focus on methods, tactics, and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects.
- Exercise discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes, and techniques.
- Work under limited guidance due to previous experience and breadth and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge.
