Job Title: RN – NICU
Location: Brockton, MA
Duration: 3 months Contract
Schedule: 7p-7a (36 hours/week)
Hourly rate: $77/ hour on W2 Negotiable
Role & Core Duties

• Patient Care: Delivers nursing care to assigned patients from newborn to geriatric populations in compliance with MA regulations.
• Clinical Responsibilities: Performs assessments, develops care plans, administers medications/IVs safely, documents progress, and reports patient condition changes to physicians.
• Patient & Family Support: Educates, counsels, and provides emotional support to patients and families during illness or end-of-life care.
• Leadership & Supervision: Works independently, guides LPNs and support staff, and assumes management responsibilities in the nurse manager’s absence.
• Quality & Safety: Uses LEAN strategies for process improvement, follows healthcare laws, and maintains continuing education standards.

Mandatory Clinical Requirements

• L&D Experience: Minimum 2 years of Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR) experience.
• Mother/Baby & Newborn: Mother-Baby care experience (via floating or LDRP setting) and immediate newborn care expertise (meds, physical assessment, weight, length, head circumference).
• OR Responsibilities: Circulating C-sections required (accompanies own patients to the unit’s dedicated OR; no floating to Main OR).
• Leadership Roles: Willingness to act as Charge Nurse or Preceptor.

Schedule & Operational Rules

• Scheduling: Self-scheduling allowed (unit needs take priority; even shift switches approved).
• Time Off: No Requested Time Off (RTO) allowed during summer prime vacation (through 9/15/25).
• Travel Pairs: No travel pairs allowed.

Top Qualifications & Preferred Skills

• Software: Meditech experience (preferred).
• Clinical Skills: Scrubbing C-sections (preferred).
• Languages: Bilingual in Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Cape Verdean Creole (preferred).
