Job Title: RN – ICU
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: 2 months Contract
Schedule: DAY SHIFT – 7AM-7:30PM, EOW REQUIRED 4th shift once in a month
Hourly rate: $58/ hour on W2 Negotiable
Role & Core Duties
- Patient Care & Experience: Delivers relationship-centered care using the nursing process, manages care plans, conducts hourly rounding, and provides patient/caregiver education.
- Quality & Safety: Follows high-reliability principles to eliminate safety hazards, participates in quality improvement initiatives, and maintains accurate electronic documentation.
- Operations: Facilitates patient throughput, performs charge nurse duties as assigned, and manages unit supplies efficiently.
Unit Details & Ratios
- Specialties: Neurosurgical ICU & Medical ICU.
- Unit Capacity: 8 beds per unit (Average Unit Census = 8).
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2 staffing ratio.
Shift & Schedule Details
- Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 3×12 hours, variable shifts).
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW) required.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Licensure & Certifications: Active NYS RN License, BLS, and ACLS.
- Clinical Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 2 years in Critical Care/Tele.
Preferred Skills
- EMR: Epic experience highly preferred.
