Certified Medical Assistant II – Ob/Gyn
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Experience: Minimum 1 year of full-time Certified Medical Assistant experience
Local Rate: Same as Travel Rate
Requirements
Recent Ob/Gyn experience required
Epic experience required
Certified Medical Assistant with at least 1 year of full-time experience
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
Ability to document accurately in an electronic medical record
Job Responsibilities
Room and intake patients, including collecting vital signs, height, weight, and visit information.
Obtain medical and social history, medication lists, allergies, and preferred pharmacy.
Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
Collect specimens and perform phlebotomy.
Administer medications under provider direction.
Perform EKGs, eye exams, and other clinical tests as directed.
Review patient records for routine health screenings.
Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain exam and treatment rooms.
Clean and sterilize instruments.
Provide after-visit, follow-up, self-care, and procedural instructions.
Assist with registration, scheduling, referrals, and clinic telephone/in-basket tasks.
Assist during emergency situations as directed.
Precept and train new Medical Assistants and externs.
Support preventive health measures, quality/safety activities, audits, and clinic supply ordering.
