Job Title: RN – Oncology
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: 2 months Contract
Schedule: 7:00P – 7:30A
Hourly rate: $60/ hour on W2 Negotiable
- Education: BSN required
- License: Active NYS RN License
- Certifications: BLS required; ONC preferred, not mandatory
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Specialty Experience: Minimum 2 years of Hematology-Oncology and/or Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) experience required
- Clinical Skills: Medicine and chemotherapy experience required
- EHR: EPIC experience
- Unit Capacity: 36 beds
- Average Unit Census: 35.1 patients
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care.
- Administer medications and chemotherapy as appropriate.
- Assess patients, develop care plans, and monitor outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on treatment and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow safety protocols.
- Perform purposeful hourly rounding and support patient experience.
- Participate in quality improvement and professional development
