Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (CST)
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support warehouse and inventory operations. This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and shipping materials while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring timely movement of products throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, basic computer knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, verify, and process incoming shipments.
- Route materials to appropriate storage or staging areas.
- Prepare, package, and process outbound shipments with accurate documentation.
- Enter receiving and shipping information into inventory management systems.
- Identify and report discrepancies between received materials and shipping documentation.
- Organize warehouse inventory and rotate stock based on receipt and expiration dates.
- Report short-dated inventory and assist with inventory control activities.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory.
- Pick, pack, and prepare internal and external orders for delivery.
- Support returned goods processing according to established procedures.
- Assist with mail distribution, record storage, and retrieval as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow company policies and safety regulations, including OSHA and other applicable compliance standards.
- Perform other warehouse and shipping duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 6 months of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or materials management experience.
- Basic data entry and computer skills.
- Experience with inventory or warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Ability to accurately maintain records and documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Familiarity with barcode scanners and inventory tracking systems.
- Basic mathematical skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
