Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)
Location: Lutz, FL
Duration: 3 months (possible extension)
Shift:
- Monday–Wednesday: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Thursday: Off
- Friday: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Saturday: 5:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Job Summary:
The PSR I is responsible for collecting blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and providing excellent patient care. This role ensures accurate specimen collection, maintains patient confidentiality, and follows all safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood draws (including pediatric and geriatric patients)
- Process and prepare specimens for testing
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Provide excellent customer service and patient support
- Follow safety, quality, and compliance procedures
- Work independently while meeting daily productivity goals
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (required); 1+ year preferred
- Strong phlebotomy skills
- Keyboard/data entry proficiency
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Medical Assistant, Paramedic, or Phlebotomy certification preferred (state requirements apply)
- Flexible to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call as needed
