Job Description:
Essential Accountabilities
- Coordinates and collaborates with disparate groups within the company (lab scientists, marketing, order fulfillment, shipping, outside sales, direct client teams) to meet the needs of customers.
- Main contact for all aspects of customer order fulfillment, including but not limited to sales, technical support, sales quotes (entry and follow-up), customer service, CRM data entry, and pre- and post-sales marketing activities.
- Input, approve, and update customer data in ERP (Sage) and CRM (Salesforce) systems.
- Sales support includes international distributors, global client teams, and domestic (US) customers.
- Responsible for lead management, lead follow-up, and opportunity closing throughout the territory.
- Participate in business process improvement groups and assist in driving change throughout the organization.
- Work is performed in the office.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Science and/or a business-related field preferred.
- 1–2 years of previous account management, marketing, sales, or customer service experience.
- Familiarity with order management/ERP software (Sage, SAP, etc.).
- Salesforce or other CRM experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
- Critical problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Computer proficiency and strong familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Customer-focused.
