Patient Services Representative I (Phlebotomist)
Location: Southbury, CT
Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Duration: 3 Months
Pay rate: $17 – $21/hr. on w2
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) performs blood collection, specimen processing, and patient registration while ensuring excellent customer service, accuracy, and compliance with safety and confidentiality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect blood specimens (including pediatric and geriatric patients)
- Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Provide professional, compassionate patient care
- Follow safety, quality, and company procedures
- Support clinical and forensic specimen collection as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (1+ year preferred)
- Strong phlebotomy, data entry, and customer service skills
- Medical Assistant/Paramedic training preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call if needed
