ENTRY Phlebotomist I

Job Title: Entry Phlebotomist I / Lobby Experience Coordinator (LEC)
Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (35 hours/week)
Job Summary:

  • We are seeking an Entry Phlebotomist I / Lobby Experience Coordinator (LEC) to join a patient service center in Charlotte, NC. This role is primarily focused on providing an exceptional patient experience by greeting patients, assisting with kiosk check-ins, maintaining the lobby area, and supporting phlebotomy operations as needed.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, a compassionate approach to patient care, and basic phlebotomy experience. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to grow their phlebotomy skills while working in a patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist patients upon arrival.
  • Help patient’s complete check-in procedures using self-service kiosks or handheld tablets.
  • Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming lobby environment.
  • Answer patient questions and provide excellent customer service.
  • Support phlebotomy operations by covering breaks and assisting during staffing shortages.
  • Perform specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and data entry.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to safety standards.
  • Promote a positive image of the organization through professional interactions with patients, clients, and coworkers.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
  • Some phlebotomy experience required (including internship, externship, or clinical training).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of customer-facing experience required (retail, hospitality, home health aide, healthcare, or similar).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic computer, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with patients in both lobby and clinical settings.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in a healthcare or laboratory environment.
  • Ability to handle patients with care, compassion, and professionalism.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the phlebotomy field.
