Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Rancho Mirage, CA. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations while delivering exceptional patient care. This position requires excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to educate and support patients throughout their imaging experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.
- Operate mammography and bone density (DEXA/DEA) imaging equipment safely and accurately.
- Educate patients regarding imaging procedures and answer questions to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Obtain and document patient medical history prior to imaging procedures.
- Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort, privacy, and safety.
- Complete accurate documentation, billing, and procedure coding within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and PACS systems.
- Perform bone density (DEXA) examinations as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with MQSA standards, state regulations, and departmental policies.
- Ensure imaging equipment and examination rooms remain clean, organized, and operational.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare team members to provide exceptional patient care.
- Provide imaging services at both the main campus and satellite locations as required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
- ARRT (R) – Radiography Certification required.
- California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) License with Radiography and Mammography Certification required.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification required.
- Recent experience performing screening and diagnostic mammography.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and PACS systems.
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
